The most popular resorts in Turkey stretch along the shores of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. Izmir, Kusadasi, Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye are located on the Aegean Sea. Kemer, Antalya, Belek, Side and Alanya - on the Mediterranean. The shores of Marmara Sea in the west and the Black Sea in the north are no less picturesque; nevertheless they are not so popular with the mass-tourist beachgoers.
On the beaches of the Aegean Sea prevails pebbles. In the Mediterranean, you can find the beaches of all kinds: sandy beaches of Belek and Side, and rocky bays of Kemer and Antalya.
Nearly a hundred beaches of Turkey are awarded the Blue Flag. A Blue Flag beach is a maritime or freshwater recreational beach that has met rigorous quality standards during the whole of the previous bathing season.
Most four-and five-star hotels have their own beaches and take care of cleanliness and order. But there are three or even two-star with its own beach with free sun beds and umbrellas (just in this case, it is usually the simplest design). Some expensive hotels deliberately overstate the price to use their beaches to scare away tourists from outside. To use their beach, owned bars or restaurants, tourists need to make an order (for example, buy a drink). In this case, to pay for sun beds and umbrellas they do not have to.

Just looking at that picture has made me want to go swimming in the Aegean. I do hope I get to visit Turkey soon. Those are some of the clearest waters I've ever seen.
